Data at Missouri Valley Weather is collected by a LaCrosse WS-2315 professional weather station located approximately 1 mile west of Missouri Valley, Iowa.  This data is then distributed to the following worldwide services via the internet.
Weather UndergrounWeather information from Missouri Valley Weather is uploaded several times per minute to the Weather Underground using the "Rapid Fire" method.  This provides constantly updated local conditions of Temperature, Humidity, Barometric Pressure, Wind Speed/Gust, and Rainfall totals.  Missouri Valley Weather is station KIAMISSO1 on the Weather Underground, and you will find the latest information HERE.  

CWOPMissouri Valley Weather is a member of the CWOP  (Citizen Weather Observer Program).  The Citizen Weather Observer Program (CWOP) is a private-public partnership with three main goals: 1) to collect weather data contributed by citizens; 2) to make these data available for weather services and homeland security; and 3) to provide feedback to the data contributors so that they have the tools to check and improve their data quality.

Missouri Valley Weather is also proud to be part of AWEKAS.
